Cancellation of Removal granted to undocumented client in Immigration detention after we proved his mother would suffer exceptional and extremely unusual hardship if he was deported.
Adjustment of status to lawful permanent resident granted to client who had conviction for ID theft.
Consular processing completed for spouse from Yemen. Accomplished through consulate in Ethiopia. Took 4 years – Persistence pays off!
Client who was Lawful Permanent Resident was charged with removal because of an aggravated felony. Attorney John Shaw was able to get the case dismissed.
Attorney Shaw got a client approved for DACA despite the client having a DUI conviction.
Won BIA appeal – Client was initially denied adjustment of status by Immigration Judge. Attorney Shaw appealed the case to the BIA and the judges decision was overturned which will allow the client to become a Legal Permanent Resident (green card). Attorney Shaw was able to obtain I – 212 and I – 601 Waivers for client after the client was given an expedited removal order.
Recently obtained two I- 601A Waivers and a 601 Waiver approval in Juarez, Mexico.
Convinced immigration judge to find the client eligible for cancellation of removal and to administratively close case, based upon argument that his sister that was married to his deceased adoptive father qualified as his “stepparent”.
I – 601 waiver approved at consulate in Juarez Mexico – 5/15/14 Client was given voluntary departure in 2011, reversed decision by consulate that needed I – 212 wavier as well
DACA was granted to a client who had a possession of marijuana and a shop lifting conviction.
